General Labourer — No Experience Needed

Full-time · Will train

Carrying board, site clean-up, loading and helping the crew. This is how most of our finishers started.

Drywall Helper / Apprentice

Full-time · Paid training

Work beside a lead installer and learn boarding from day one.

  • Willing to learn
  • No experience required

Taping Apprentice

Full-time · Paid training

Mixing mud, first coats and sanding while you learn the finish trade.

  • Steady hands
  • No experience required

Clean-up & Haul-away Crew

Part-time / Weekends

Great first job or second income — site clean-outs and dump runs.

  • Reliable
  • Able to lift 50 lbs

Student / Summer Helper

Seasonal

Summer work with real trade experience on your resume.

  • 16+ with working papers
  • Positive attitude

Your training path

  1. Week 1Safety & site basicsWHMIS, ladders, PPE, tool handling and how a JCA site runs.
  2. Weeks 2–6Hands-on helperBoard handling, cutting, layout and clean-up beside a lead.
  3. Months 2–6Trade skillsBoarding or first-coat taping on real jobs with your lead signing off.
  4. Months 6–12Working on your ownOwn rooms and sections, rate review, tool allowance.
  5. Year 2+Lead trackRun a small crew, quote small jobs, or move toward a Red Seal path.

Skilled positions

Drywall Boarder / Installer

Full-time · Hourly or piece rate

Hanging board on residential and commercial jobs across Niagara.

  • 2+ years hanging board
  • Own hand tools
  • Reliable transportation

Taper / Finisher

Full-time · Hourly or piece rate

Coating, sanding and Level 5 finishing ready for paint.

  • 3+ years taping
  • Clean coat work
  • Comfortable on stilts and benches

Ceiling & Texture Specialist

Contract / Project

Suspended grid, knockdown, stipple and repair work.

  • Grid or spray texture experience
  • Own sprayer an asset

Renovation Carpenter

Full-time

Framing, trim, doors and full basement or bathroom builds.

  • Framing and finish carpentry
  • Reads basic drawings

Demolition Crew Member

Full-time / Seasonal

Strip-outs, disposal runs and site prep before the trades arrive.

  • Physically fit
  • Safety boots
  • WHMIS an asset

Site Lead / Foreman

Full-time

Runs a crew, keeps schedules, quality and safety on track.

  • 5+ years in the trade
  • Crew leadership
  • Comfortable talking to clients

Project Coordinator / Estimator

Full-time

Take-offs, quotes, scheduling and material ordering.

  • Estimating or coordination experience
  • Strong with numbers

Subcontractor Crews

Contract

Established drywall, taping or reno crews looking for steady work.

  • WSIB clearance
  • Liability insurance
  • Own tools and transport
