Inside JCA Construction: one crew, from tear-out to final sand

JCA Construction is an owner-operated construction company based in St. Catharines, Ontario, working across the Niagara region. Jeromy Watson has been on the tools for over thirteen years, and the same hands that quote your job are on site while it is being built.

We do drywall installation, taping and finishing, ceilings, framing, demolition and full interior renovations — basements, additions, new builds and repair work after water or fire damage. More than five hundred projects have gone out the door, from single-room repairs to eighty-thousand square foot developments.

Here is how a job actually runs. You call, email or send photos through the website and we book a free estimate. We walk the space, measure, and send a written estimate with fixed pricing and clear terms — no vague allowances, no surprise line items. If there is concealed damage behind a wall, that is written into the estimate up front so you know exactly what happens if we find it.

Once you approve, one crew handles the whole job. Tear-out and protection first, then framing and insulation where it is needed, vapour barrier on exterior walls, board, tape, three coats, sand, and a clean site at the end. You are not handed off between three different trades who each blame the last one. The person who quoted the job is the person who answers the phone while it is running.

We photograph the work as it goes. That is not for show — it is how we prove what was behind the wall, how the job progressed, and what the finish looked like on the last day. Those photos end up in our gallery and in this journal, and you get them too.
